Treasurer Joe Hockey says property developments like Jordan Springs are crucial to Australia’s economic growth.
During a visit to Penrith today he joined Lindsay MP Fiona Scott and Rathur Ilias from Lend Lease on a tour of one of the plots being prepared for release in the Jordan Springs residential development.
‘‘How exciting it is to see this construction,’’ Mr Hockey said.
‘‘How exciting it is to see the jobs here in western Sydney.’’
Mr Hockey linked Sydney’s housing construction boom to the growth of the economy, and said it would help create new jobs.
