PROJECT: Corindi Beach, Coffs Harbour

After having successfully completed Stage 1 in mid 2007, JK Williams were appointed as Principle Contractor in late February 20008 for the delivery of Stage 2 of a four stage development by the Corindi Beach Partnership at Corindi Beach, approximately 30 km north of Coffs Harbour.

The 32 lot subdivision involved clearing, bulk earthworks, pavement construction, existing truck road widening and installation of services reticulation.

Despite the volume of bulk earthworks more than doubling, JK Williams completed the Project ahead of the anticipated completion date allowing the Developer to realise sales well ahead of expectation.

The site presented problems due to its low lying location and significant in ground water. JK Williams was best placed to manage this risk using experience gained during Stage 1 of the development ensuring that all activities, particularly bulk earthworks, were properly planned and executed.

Good working relationships were nurtured and maintained with all Project stakeholders including local residents, local authorities, designers, subcontractors and service providers allowing Project issues to be addressed efficiently.
